I am not using any DE. I only use a WM, wmaker. Is there some easy workaround I can use to make sure I (and other users of the system) can see PDFs again?
XDG_DATA_DIRS was mentioned but I am not sure what should I set it to. After export XDG_DATA_DIRS=/usr/share/gnome iceweasel http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/securing-debian-howto/securing-debian-howto.en.pdf evince is used to open the PDF but it fails with "File type text/plain type (text/plain) is not supported" Is this a bug in debian.org or evince or iceweasel? $ wget http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/securing-debian-howto/securing-debian-howto.en.pdf --2010-08-10 15:03:36-- http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/securing-debian-howto/securing-debian-howto.en.pdf Resolving www.debian.org... 194.109.137.218, 213.129.232.18, 141.76.2.5, ...
