For the record, let me state what I did to resolve the conflict: $ aptitude remove libeina-svn-05 (this also removed most of the e17 packages) $ aptitude install libeina-svn-06 $ aptitude install e17 And all is well. I found that some modules are included, but many modules are not yet packaged. (This is not a complaint; I include it for the sake of those who might be reading this report later for help.)
