apsfilterconfig supports these options:
4) gimp-print (stp driver [DEPRECATED - use ijs]; version 4.2.x)
5) gimp-print (ijs driver; version 4.2.1 and later)
Gimp-Print is no longer available in Debian unstable, and gs-gpl and
gs-esp have dropped support for the STP driver. As a consequence:
- option 4 is totally broken
- option 5 is also broken, because ijsgimpprint is no longer available.
This can be fixed by
- completely removing support for the STP driver; it's now obsolete
- supporting ijsgutenprint rather than ijsgimpprint; this is the
recommended upgrade path for existing users, and the only option
for new users.
ijsgutenprint is mostly compatible with ijsgimpprint, but supports
a far wider range of options. The foomatic data in
foomatic-db-gutenprint lists the supported options.
This might be something upstream need to do, but this needs fixing for
etch.
