Package: ktranslator
Version: 0.4-2
Severity: critical
Justification: causes serious data loss
I installed a Spanish dictionary today, and the system's responses started
slowing down like some package was hogging the processor. It was so bad that I
went to the console. By the time I logged in, my desktop environment had
restarted, lossing my unsaved files, and was prompting me to log in. After I
logged back in, my up arrow didn't work. Thinking it was the keyboard, I
switched to another, and it still didn't work. I restarted and opened
KTranslator, but its icon in the notification area was blacked-out. It was just
a black square, and it wouldn't give a title pop-up or a right-click context
menu. KTranslator was also using 50% of the CPU.
