Package: netcat6
Version: 1.0-7
Severity: normal

Whenever I use the -e switch, the following message is printed to stderr

$ nc -lp 4000 -e /bin/date
nc: parser.c:243: parse_arguments: Assertion `optarg != ((void *)0)'
failed.
Aborted

I tried both listen and connect mode with various other parameters and
this erroneus behaviour happened every time I used -e and netcat worked
perfectly after its omission.
