The man page says ghostscript is also a PDF previewer.
gs - Ghostscript (PostScript and PDF language interpreter and previewer)
But does not in any way explain how to preview a PDF file.
All I know is if I want to view a PDF file, I must use
$ xpdf file.pdf
There is no equivalent I see mentioned there on the Ghostscript man
page.
Or maybe "preview" is not the same as "view".
There used to be a "gv" or "ghostview" but that seems to be gone from Debian.
