Package: mutt Version: 1.5.20-9 Severity: normal It has been noticed that this version of mutt handles mails with long lines encoded in UTF-8 incorrecly when displaying them in the intermal pager or replying to them. The problem is that a long line is split in a middle of a UTF-8 encoded character. As a result, that character is lost and there appears garbage around the point of splitting. Here is an example:
Original message with a long line: http://lists.debian.org/debian-russian/2010/07/msg00462.html My reply with the effect of the bug clearly seen: http://lists.debian.org/debian-russian/2010/07/msg00463.html Downgrading to 1.5.18 solves this problem, so this bug should be in some recent code. -- Package-specific info: Mutt 1.5.20 (2009-06-14) Copyright (C) 1996-2009 Michael R.
