I just added a "msg: contains" type rule and the change did not actually go into effect with '/etc/init.d/rsyslog reload'. I could see the message(s) about a lightweight restart, i.e.
rsyslogd was HUPed, type 'lightweight'. but the new rule didn't take effect until I restarted the daemon (in my case using '/etc/init.d/rsyslog restart'). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [email protected]
