Package: libc6 Version: 2.7-18lenny4 Severity: important
In /etc/bindresvport.blacklist as shipped with lenny each line contains a port number followed by a tab and a #-starting comment describing the service using the port. It just seems to me that when a tab follows the port number the line is ignored by libc, making the whole bindresvport.blacklist useless: sometimes bind, yp and nfs services are happily started on, e.g., cups or imaps ports. I was able to work around this problem by replacing each tab with 4 spaces. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.5 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: arm (armv5tel) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-iop32x Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libc6 depends on: ii libgcc1 1:4.3.2-1.1 GCC support library libc6 recommends no packages.
