I just noticed that the patch is incomplete, because the wpad-url option is not supported by dhcp natively. To get that one working, this line is needed in the dhclient.conf file: option wpad-url code 252 = text; In Debian Edu, I plan to use this to reconfigure the host proxy settings. A draft implementation is already in place in svn, and seem to work as it should. I plan to do something similar for log-servers. The smtp-server option is currently not used, and it is not clear if we are going to use it.
