This is still not good; your binary package ships modules only for 2.6 so it should depend on "python (>= 2.6), python (<< 2.7)". To fix that, replace
XS-Python-Version: 2.5 with XS-Python-Version: >= 2.5Otherwise, the package is going to break again by the next transition (regardless of whether or not binNMUed).
