I have set mail.check_all_imap_folders_for_new=true and since 3.0.4
Icedove does not honor this setting, it only checks the INBOX.
Could it be that the meaning/interpretation of this setting somehow got
reversed?
(Some testing later...)
And even if I set this to false, Icedove only checks INBOX.
("Synchronization & Storage" => "Keep messages for this account on this
computer" is set to "on".)
