Package: grub-pc Version: 1.98+20100614-2 Hello,
grub-pc's savedefault doesn't work again since 1.98+20100614-1. /boot/grub/grubenv doesn't get updated whichever menuentry I choose. This appears to be different to #584812: I tried the grub.cfg generated by 1.98+20100614-2 together with 1.98+20100602-2 and savedefault works well in this constellation (that's why I'm reporting against grub-pc this time). regards Mario -- Unfortunately, the chip vendors have delayed the availability of the long-promised crystal-ball peripherals yet again, forcing the governor code to rely on heuristics; once again, software must make up for deficiencies in the hardware. -- Jonathan Corbet, LWN
