Package: kernel-package
Version: 9.005
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

currently I can only get a .changes file, if I do a full
"buildpackage", which takes forever, due to kernel-doc being built. I
also don't think this is sane, if I just need a kernel for my pc. On the
other hand I'd like to have my self-built packages orgnazied and use
debpool. Now for this to work I need a .changes file and I think
it's not a big deal for make-kpkg to call dpkg-genchanges.

Nearly the same applies for modules, only that there is not really a
difference between the modules and the modules_image target, despite the
fact that the second doesn't create the .changes-files for the
module-debs. This should change too, IMHO.
