It should be noted that I'm not sure of the minor revision of the previous nut package I had installed, but I know it was definitely from the 2.4 branch of the nut tree as it did not require the use of the /etc/default/nut file to operate (though a bug was present in this older version that had an init script check against /etc/default/nut incorrectly).
