Package: fakechroot
Version: 2.9-1.2
Severity: normal

Consider a fakechroot instance at /srv/test.

If a symlink at /srv/test/x points to /srv/testy, then under
fakechroot, readlink("x") reports "y".

I would have expected readlink("x") to have returned "/srv/testy" in
this case.

Similarly weird:

If a symlink at /srv/test/x points to /srv/test, then under
fakechroot, readlink("x") reports "" (the empty string).

I would have expected readlink("x") to have returned "/" in this case.

Thanks for keeping fakechroot up-to-date in debian!
