Bug#581911: Possible fix found for segfaults

I believe a fix for this bug is described at http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=316525 
I use mysql as well on my sites.
Could this be the same as Debian #577784 ? If so, can you please release a new version that includes the fix?
