Can you provide the output from /usr/share/insserv/make-testsuite, for us to try to reproduce the problem. The insserv package already have a built time test to verify that the X-Interactive work, and the test passed also for the new insserv version. This make me suspect there is something with your set of init.d scripts that are triggering this ordering.
