Hi,

Perhaps a bit of bug severity inflation here, but okay, I get the point.

I'll revert the change and switch it to an optional flag that can be set
in the menu in order to be able to deal with future buggy cases, such as
bug #502317.  However, I doubt that most users will figure out how to
get around such cases. :-(
