Package: tar
Version: 1.23-1
Severity: normal

Hi,
I have both the following that didn't work:

$ tar tzf mAb-DB_2010-05-04_18:11.tgz
tar (child): Cannot connect to mAb-DB_2010-05-04_18: resolve failed

gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Child returned status 128
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

$ tar tzf mAb-DB_2010-05-04_18\:11.tgz
tar (child): Cannot connect to mAb-DB_2010-05-04_18: resolve failed

gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Child returned status 128
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

Is it what is expected? Are archive filenames URI? Anyway to escape the colon?

Regards,
Patrice.
