Package: pmount
Version: 0.9.20-2
Severity: normal

This happens on both of my USB external hard drives.
Both are 500GB and contain two partitions with ext3.
All partitions have partition labels.
For example:

cmpq:~# pmount /dev/sda1 wdp5

works with no errors,but

cmpq:~# pmount-hal /dev/sda1
Error: libhal_ctx_init: (null): (null)

And there really is a label:

cmpq:~# ls -l /dev/disk/by-label/
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 20100503_211611 HDA3 -> ../../hda3
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 20100503_211608 HDA6 -> ../../hda6
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 20100503_212328 wdp5 -> ../../sda1 <----- see
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 20100503_214725 wdp7 -> ../../sdb1
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 20100503_212329 wdpf -> ../../sda2
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 20100503_214731 wdph -> ../../sdb2

I think pmount-hal did work about a month ago, but maybe it
was longer ago than that. All work done under Squeeze.
