Oh please. The point is not to get you to give in. Remember what I wrote about the buildds? It’s not guaranteed you get a newer version than the one currently installed unless you depend on it explicitly – that’s even true for essential packages. And some of the buildds carry old packages – I mentioned stumbling over an outdated libbsd once where I hadn’t realised the problem. bye, //mirabilos -- FWIW, I'm quite impressed with mksh interactively. I thought it was much *much* more bare bones. But it turns out it beats the living hell out of ksh93 in that respect.
