Package: gdm3 Version: 2.30.0-2 Severity: important I installed GDM3 instead of GDM. When I was logging in, I clicked that Accessibility options -icon. I tired out, what will happen, if I click that option that changes font size to bigger. I did not like it, so I disabled that option.
After logging in all my fonts are way too big! Even fonts in titlebar of my window manager. My desktop system is LXDE and it uses FVWM2 as its window manager. FVWM2 reads its settings from it own plain text configuration file, but somehow GDM3 was able to fuck all up. Did it change resolution of all fonts, as dot per inch? Where did it put that setting? It is also very irritating, when my GNU Emacs has way too big fonts and therefore too big window, although even that setting is in plain text configuration file. Now I will delete my .gnome*-directories and install GDM back. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (500, 'proposed-updates'), (101, 'testing'), (99, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-trunk-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fi_FI.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gdm3 depends on: ii adduser 3.112 add and remove users and groups ii aewm [x-window-manager 1.3.12-2 a minimalist window manager for X1 ii aewm++ [x-window-manag 1.1.2-5 minimal window manager written in ii awesome [x-window-mana 3.4.4-1 highly configurable, next generati ii blackbox [x-window-man 0.70.1-2.2 Window manager for X ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.32 Debian configuration management sy ii fvwm [x-window-manager 1:2.5.28.ds-3 F(?)
