So why aren't you redirecting whoever's hijacked the bug to the actual
bug then?  Closing the bug with a totally random message unrelated to
the content of the actual report really does not create a good
impression.  Obviously we don't normally just close bugs that someone
happens to have hijacked.

If you'd wanted to close the bug saying you can't be bothered leaving it
open due to difficulty in obtaining logs (obviously it's unlikely that
any will be obtained since the whole issue is that the BTS isn't
generating notifications of new submisions in the first place) then
that'd be understandable but this really doesn't come over well.
