Package: apmd
Version: 3.2.2-3
Severity: normal

Nowhere does the user learn that APM might not be what he wants. The
closest the user gets is this worrisome line in the package
Description:
Debian kernels are built with APM support but it is disabled by
   default.
The package Description and READMEs should mention that in most cases
the user wants instead some other newer power management scheme, ACPI
etc.

Wait, I did find
There is no interaction yet with ACPI support as found in newer PC
   hardware.
in the man page. But this very slight hint will only be seen long
after the user has installed the package. Beef up the hint too.
