Package: firebird2.5 Version: 2.5.0.25920~ReleaseCandidate2.ds2-2 Severity: normal
Hello, apparently, some firebird utilities try to access lock directory during package build process. This directory is /tmp/firebird by default and is configurable by FIREBIRD_LOCK at runtime. Due to this issue, if /tmp/firebird already exists and is inaccessible (e.g. created by another user or leftover from the previous build), firebird2.5 will FTBFS. Ideally, firebird2.5 should not access global lock files during build process, therefore I recommended to set FIREBIRD_LOCK to a location in the package build directory in order to avoid it creating lock files in /tmp when building the package. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.33-2-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=lt_LT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=lt_LT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
