Package: git-buildpackage
Version: 0.4.65
Severity: normal

debuild expects debuild options before dpkg-buildpackage options. -i
and -I are dpkg-buildpackage options, so it is not possible to pass
debuild options to debuild without changing the git-builder option
away from the default "debuild -i\.git -I.git".

A clumsy workaround is

git-buildpackage --git-builder="debuild" --set-envvar buildzg2package=yes
-i\\.git -I.git

If this is intended, it needs to be documented more clearly.

Greetings
Marc
