Package: courier-ldap Version: 0.63.0-2.1 Severity: important User: debian-...@lists.debian.org UserTags: debian-edu
I discovered this when starting boot scripts with full concurrency and /var/run as a tmpfs using Debian Edu The courier-ldap script failed to start the daemon, because /var/run/courier/ did not exist when the daemon tried to create the lock file. Please change the init.d script to create /var/run/courier/ before trying to start the daemon. Also, the courier-ldap script starts before slapd on a machine with a local LDAP server. Should it start after the LDAP server is operational? If so, the init.d script dependency need to be changed to reflect this. If you let me know how this is supposed to work, I can provide a patch.
