running kbuildsycoca4 leads to the following output : kbuildsycoca4(13516) KBuildServiceFactory::populateServiceTypes: "/usr/share/applications/kde4/kile.desktop" specifies undefined mimetype/servicetype "text/x-kilepr" Maybe this is related to the fact that kile installs the x-kilepr.desktop file in /usr/share/mimelink/text/ instead of /usr/share/mimelnk/text/ where all other packages do.
