Package: daemon
Version: 0.6.3-1
Severity: minor

I'm using daemon in my init.d script. When I call it daemon with
--pidfiles and --running to implement the status) call for the init
script, it complains:

Invalid --pidfiles argument: '/var/run/hadoop' (Directory is not
writable)

However there's no necessity to complain, since I'm only checking and
don't intend to write to the pidfiles dir.
Every user should be allowed to check, whether a daemon is running.
