After the changes in ifuse and libiphone in sid in favour of
libimobiledevice, gtkpod and other programs using libgpod updated accordingly.
However, debian libgpod4 version prevents them from running, as they can't find
libiphone.so. After getting the last libgpod version from git, gtkpod and the
rhythmbox ipod plugin started to work again. Therefore, I ask you to update
libgpod4 .deb with an updated version from git source for sid. This is the
easiest solution possible.
