as i said before, i don't have the time to evaluate (and maintain it),
and i would still like to hear something from one of the upstream
developers about it.
in the meantime, i'm open to making any changes to make it easier to
apply the patch to the source package, or to putting info into the
README about recommended steps to get it unpacked on the installed
system... but someone else will need to volunteer the legwork.
