Package: socat Version: 1.7.1.2-1 Severity: normal socat depends on doc-base. Since the socat package does not primarily exist to provide documentation (unlike, say, a -doc package), this seems quite excessive. Furthermore, depending on doc-base doesn't actually provide any useful functionality, unlike something like yelp or dwww which uses the doc-base database.
