Package: libtwolame0 Version: 0.3.12-1 Severity: normal Maybe, this has already been adressed in some way, but I believe there might be a legal problem with this package.
In the file twolame-0.3.12/libtwolame/fft.c there is the following comment: (starts at line 27, only part of it shown here) /* ** [...] ** NOTE: This routine uses at least 2 patented algorithms, and may be ** under the restrictions of a bunch of different organizations. ** Although I wrote it completely myself; [...] ** If it were up to me, I'd say go do whatever you want with it; ** [...] */ In my opinion, this does not really seem to be unencumbered code.
