libfreetype6-dev provides a pkg-config .pc file, but does not Recommend pkg-config. Please could you add this? It could be a Depends, but since freetype-config is also available, this isn't a requirement. It would be useful for packages build-depending upon libfreetype6-dev, though (this just caused gs-esp to FTBFS, though strictly this was a gs-esp bug).
