Package: epiphany-browser Version: 2.29.3-1 For some web pages, the anchor tag (<a>...</a>) is not processed and results in plain text instead of a hyper-text link. One web page that I have found which exhibits this problem is http://portal.wowway.net. (Since this page changes regularly, you might want to make a copy of it for a test case now, while the error can still be reproduced.) In the upper right hand corner of the web page is a series of anchor tags labeled "WOW! Blog", "Contact Us", "WOW! A Friend", "FAQ", and "Login". All of them are processed correctly except the last one: "Login". When the mouse pointer is moved over the other four labels, the mouse pointer changes from an arrow to a pointer finger and the label is underlined. A single left click on any of these labels takes you to the corresponding URL defined in the anchor tag. But moving the mouse pointer over the "Login" label causes no changes. The mouse pointer remains an arrow, underlining does not appear, and clicking has no effect.
I have examined the HTML source code for the web page, and although I'm no expert, it does appear to be correct. Furthermore, the web page works fine with other browsers on other platforms, such as Firefox for Windows. The failure described here does also occur, however, with iceweasel 3.5.6-1. Perhaps this is a bug in an HTML rendering engine common between epiphany-browser and iceweasel. I don't know. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
