Yes, I get the same thing with Gkrellmd version 2.3.2 and gkrelltopd 2.2.11. After getting the server side directories fixed up and the plugin enabled (not a small feat!), the client consistently crashes with a segmentation fault after a random but very short period. I am running xfce desktop on a Ubuntu 9.10 install for both clients and daemon.
Too bad, this would have been a useful tool. > From: Chris Carr <ranting...@gmail.com> > To: 543...@bugs.debian.org > Subject: Now crashes immediately with any remote client > Date: Sun, 03 Jan 2010 19:28:15 +0000 > > Hi there, > > Just following this up: the problem is now in squeeze, as any machine > running squeeze's gkrellmd + gkrelltopd now crashes a client gkrellm on > any other machine if the gkrelltopd plugin is enabled. > > Keen to help fix this before squeeze is released. > > Regards, -- Sean Donovan Senior Partner TechOnFoot <http://techonfoot.com> Edmonton, Canada Phone: +1-866-809-5132
