Here's a pointer to my git branch which contains a proposed patch, to optionally report info messages in the emails sent : http://git.debian.org/?p=users/olberger-guest/backupninja.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/output All there is to do, then, is to change from debug to info in the handlers for the output of the commands.
