Package: make Version: 3.80-9 Severity: wishlist Hello,
Could you please add a symlink /usr/bin/gmake -> make to the "make" package? This is helpful to deal with the occasional source code whose upstream insists on explicitly calling "gmake" in their build process (presumably because their Makefiles don't work with BSD make and they don't bother to check the host type to see if the make in $PATH is likely to be GNU make). Of course it would be ideal to include the symlink /usr/share/man/man1/gmake.1.gz -> make.1.gz and maybe one for the info file (not quite sure how info works; would another symlink be sufficient?) as well.
