I wanted to let you know that I am working on this, but I'm running into a strange issue that's holding me up. I reproduced the bug, fixed the C++, rebuilt on my machine and it works fine. However, I then attempted to build the final packages to be uploaded in a pbuilder chroot and the resulting executable segvs during the test suite. Up to date sid in both cases, compared build logs and nothing apparently differs, etc. I'm trying to figure that out now.
