Package: apt-file Version: 2.0.3-7 Severity: minor Tags: patch The manual page contains some unintelligible passages. I have tried to fix the obvious errors, but there a few issues remain:
* The use of <literal> for parameters. I'm not knowledgeable enough with DocBook to tell what element should be used instead, but certainly the items tagged with this element are not literals, and the formatting in the manual page is not what you want (they end up as completely innocent words, resulting in gems like "the pattern pattern" where obviously you'd want one occurrence of "pattern" to get +some+ sort of markup). * The section "String expansion" fails to define some parts of the parameters listed at the beginning of the section, and on the other hand explains some parameters which are not referenced anywhere. For example, where are you supposed to plug in "dest"? Anyway, perhaps the user should just be directed to the apt documentation instead? Please also find below a patch which contains some trivial typo fixes etc. /* era */ -- If this were a real .signature, it would suck less. Well, maybe not.
