The current emacs (/usr/bin/emacs23-x) at startup from the command
line now spits out the warning:
(emacs:17029): GLib-WARNING **: g_set_prgname() called multiple times
This is a problem since a common use case was to run emacs in the
background, "emacs file &". With this new warning, emacs halts until
you run fg to bring it into the foreground so it can print its error
message. Then you have to Ctrl-Z and bg to get it back in the
background again. This of course disrupts one's workflow. The
alternate "emacs 2>/dev/null &" is also disruptive because of the
additional unnecessary keystrokes.
