Package: apt-dater
Version: 0.8.0+svn431-1
Severity: normal

apt-dater requires setting a DefaultPort and a DefaultUser. these
settings are always passed to the ssh call and thus overwrite the ssh
config files and require duplicating the configuration.

i suggest that the config also accept an empty DefaultUser/Port and, in
case neither an explicit nor a default user/port is set, should not pass
the argument to ssh.
