Package: login Version: 1:4.1.4.2-1 Severity: normal When logging in on a console / textmode either as root or user, the login fails, and then the screen is filled with the chracters ^...@. This happens for both, a correct and worng password. While the screen is filled with the characters ^@, when caps lock is pressed, the output of the charcters ^@ stops, until caps lock is pressed again.
I don't know if it matters. This is happening on a MSI Wind U100 Netbook. When pressing caps lock under X a Caps Lock LED is activated. On console this isn't happening. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages login depends on: ii libc6 2.10.1-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libpam-modules 1.1.0-4 Pluggable Authentication Modules f ii libpam-runtime 1.1.0-4 Runtime support for the PAM librar ii libpam0g 1.1.0-4 Pluggable Authentication Modules l login recommends no packages. login suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
