Package: login
Version: 1:4.1.4.2-1
Severity: normal

When logging in on a console / textmode either as root or user, the login
fails, and then the
screen is filled with the chracters ^...@. This happens for both, a correct and
worng password. While
the screen is filled with the characters ^@, when caps lock is pressed, the
output of the charcters
^@ stops, until caps lock is pressed again.

I don't know if it matters. This is happening on a MSI Wind U100 Netbook. When
pressing caps
lock under X a Caps Lock LED is activated. On console this isn't happening.
