Package: acpid Version: 1.0.10-4 Severity: important After last update, setting brightness with fn+up and fn+down causes keycode 232 and 233 being continuously pressed and released (seen with xev), making system quite unusable.
Restarting acpid stops the problem until brightness is set again. The problem seems to be caused by last "update netlink patch to version 6", beacuse recompiling the package without it resolve the problem. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=it_IT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages acpid depends on: ii libc6 2.10.1-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii lsb-base 3.2-23 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip ii module-init-tools 3.11-1 tools for managing Linux kernel mo Versions of packages acpid recommends: ii acpi-support-base 0.123-1 scripts for handling base ACPI eve acpid suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
