Package: bind9 Version: 1:9.5.1.dfsg.P3-1 Followup-For: Bug #169577
Hi, Everyone who experiences the problem that rndc can't connect to 127.0.0.1#953 due to the connection being refused, please check for incorrect/missing iptables rules allowing trafic on the lo interface. To check, run (as root): debian:~# /sbin/iptables -A INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT and then try debian:~# /etc/init.d/bind9 restart If it works now, make sure the addition to your iptable ruleset is permanent and will be restored on every future reboot. I found on one system that the rndc issues was caused by that. Kind regards Niels S.
