Package: emacs23-bin-common Version: 23.1+1-4 Severity: normal After upgrade to emacs23 I had a non-functional emacsclient. This turned out to be due to the fact that the alternative for emacsclient was set to /usr/bin/emacsclient.emacs22. Such a problem could be prevented if the emacsclient alternative would be a slave of the emacs alternative. Because emacsclient versions apparently are not interoperable with other versions of emacs, it being a slave of emacs seems appropriate.
