Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal Please remove aufs from unstable. The linux-2.6 package now ships the aufs module of aufs2 in a patch, and the aufs1 shipped in the aufs package conflicts with it.
There is currently one dependency on aufs-tools by fsprotect, which already received a critical bug report and whose maintainer knows about the situation since a long time[0]; but was not willing to fix his package. It also just does not work properly with userspace tools for version 1 and a kernel module for version 2 of aufs; and could break other parts of the system. Therefore, the removal of aufs seems to be the best solution.
