Package: wicd Version: 1.6.2.2-3 Severity: normal Hi David,
I am getting this bug very very often and each time, I do have to manually reconnect (through the GUI or the -curses). Sometimes I do get such tings in my syslog: kernel: [76182.176305] wlan0: no probe response from AP 00:11:92:ee:05:63 - disassociating kernel: [76185.025578] wlan0: authenticate with AP 00:11:92:ee:05:63 kernel: [76185.027556] wlan0: authenticated kernel: [76185.027563] wlan0: associate with AP 00:11:92:ee:05:63 kernel: [76185.034149] wlan0: RX ReassocResp from 00:11:92:ee:05:63 (capab=0x431 status=0 aid=16) kernel: [76185.034159] wlan0: associated kernel: [76249.603469] wlan0: deauthenticated (Reason: 4) kernel: [76250.601255] wlan0: direct probe to AP 00:11:92:ee:05:63 try 1 kernel: [76250.609019] wlan0 direct probe responded kernel: [76250.609024] wlan0: authenticate with AP 00:11:92:ee:05:63 kernel: [76250.611316] wlan0: authenticated kernel: [76250.611321] wlan0: associate with AP 00:11:92:ee:05:63 kernel: [76250.615030] wlan0: RX ReassocResp from 00:11:92:ee:05:63 (capab=0x431 status=0 aid=16) kernel: [76250.615035] wlan0: associated This is an iwl3945 Intel Wireless card, which works otherwise fine. After I got such a log, all my connections (mail, IRC, …) get down but without notice (as if I had cut a wire). When I manually reconnect, I get warnings for cut connections and I have to restart all of them manually. This is _very_ annoying and I would be to rise the severity of this bug to something RC, but I'll let that up to you. I am ready to help, just ask !
