I a few months ago tried to bootstrap upstream snapshot for kfreebsd-amd64 via (linux-)amd64. I failed, attached are only preliminary patches, they can be used as a start for further porting/bootstrapping.
It would be nice if you can package current head (ideally with those patches) and put it into experimental.
